Are your kids making you FAT?
December 10, 2007
Kids have always blamed their parents for everything from their unfortunate height to their low SAT scores. Now it’s Mom and Dad’s turn to point fingers. Research shows that living with children can lead to the consumption of an extra 4.9 grams of fat daily. And, this number goes up around Halloween, birthday’s and especially holidays!
It’s a lot harder to resist a second slice of chocolate cake if it’s sitting right in front of you. The best thing to do is plan ahead! Talk with your kids before you get to the party and decide in advance that everyone will enjoy one peice of cake and one glass of soda.
Better yet, bring a healthy dessert that you know both you and your kids will enjoy and it will be a lot easier to resist temptation.
